(Uncle Andyās Amazing Carnival)
This poem is from the perspective of Uncle Andy, AKA James Rigger.
What a pretty girl, what a pretty girl,
Struttinā right up to my trailer, please!
What a pretty girl, what a pretty girl,
Struttinā right up in them cut-off jeans!
Sheās the kind that up and start wars.
Sheās the kind that men would die for.
I guess that I should open my door,
Cause sheās the kind that men would die for.
āHello, my dear,ā I said to her meekly,
āWhat brings you to my humble abode?ā
Cyrus: āIāve come to talk,ā she said sweetly
āAbout Stone Mountain, down the road.
Itās been shut down, for several months,
An entire historical landmark.
I was told by sources to ask Uncle Andy.
Please tell me where I should start.ā
What a pretty girl, what a pretty girl,
Movinā those lips with candy sheen!
What a pretty girl, what a pretty girl,
Up close sheās prettier than youāve ever seen!
Sheās the kind that up and start wars.
Sheās the kind that men would die for.
She makes other girls look like a bore,
āCause sheās the kind that men would die for.
āUncle Andy is how Iām currently known.ā
I began slowly to start.
āThe previous owner passed away,
And girl, did it break my heart!
So I havenāt been in charge for too long,
But a connection? I have some doubts.
If anyone around here would know anything,
Madame Jemima would know all about.ā
That pretty little girl nodded and went on her way. And I couldnāt wait to see her again.
