Notes of Destiny 34
(Hot And Humid)

Windy sat in a storage room.
She was bound and gagged.
Next door she heard women cleaning clothes.
The hours just seemed to drag.
It was unusually hot in that storage room,
And extremely humid too.
Windy wondered why Tragic had said,
She was worth more than he knew.

Windy hummed herself a tune,
Sweetly sad to hear.
She felt clouds gather in her mind,
Making it easier to not fear.
Then she realized she wasn’t powerless!
Her humming let magic loose!
She sat and thought for a moment.
What song could be of use?

Then she heard a loud commotion,
The women cleaning clothes screamed.
She closed her eyes and listened,
Trying to survey the scene.
She sang the deep cleaning song,
The one her brothers used for steam.
Then her door was busted down,
And she saw two flickering lights gleam.

A woman stepped right through the steam.
But she was no simple maid.
She said in a prim and proper voice,

Woman: “I’ve come to give thee aid!”

Windy had but a moment to take this woman in,
As she untied Windy’s bonds.
But even though the moment was very short,
It felt infinitely long.

Woman: “Keep the steam cleaning song going.
It shall cover our escape.”

The strange heroine woman wore
A black suit, a mask, and a cape.
On the holes where her eyes should be,
There shined two sapphire stones.
And when Windy was loose she hugged her,
So happy to not be alone.

Woman: “Stick with me and do as I say,
And I shall get thee home.
Into the steam, Windy Bog!”
And into it they roamed.
