GOA38 – Slow Down And Think

(Slow Down And Think)

Following the argument with Cyrus Jones,
Bobby Carter met with Jemima alone.
The two found a place in the nearby woods
where they could talk privately, and be understood.

Jemima: “She’s working very hard to find out
what’s going on here and what this is all about.”

Bobby: “She works hard, but doesn’t ask the right things.
Eventually she’d wear out from all the carnival brings.”

Jemima: “Good thing we’re here then, to show her the way.”

Bobby: “I am concerned about her being in the fray.
What if she doesn’t have the power of storms?”

Jemima: “She does, Bobby. Ever since she was born.”

Bobby: “Whatever, as long as she takes her cues, and doesn’t blink,
she’ll be fine. Now let’s just slow down and think.”

Sometimes things aren’t clear.
Sometimes things are clouded by fear.
Just slow down and think it through.
Take your cues and change your view.

Cyrus walked around the carnival and thought.
Was she at the end of her rope?
She stopped and prayed and asked God for help.
He would not let her lose hope.
But then from the center of the carnival, she heard
the sound of James Rigger’s voice and the crowd being stirred.
She ran to the sight to see what was going on.
But it was hard to get through the gathering throng.

Sometimes things aren’t clear.
Sometimes things are clouded by fear.
Just slow down and think it through.
Take your cues and change your view.
