WWW26 – Challenge
World Wide Warrior 26
(Challenge)
Braden followed the directions on the paper,
And it lead him just out of town.
To an old looking hanger building,
With wrecked planes all around.
The dessert landscape around the building,
Left him doubting much.
But as he knocked on a side door,
The doorman bid him to hush.
Doorman: “Who are you? What do you want?”
Braden simply produced his paper.
The doorman let him in without another word or favor
Braden walked in and saw a circle drawn in sand,
Two fighters circling,
And about two hundred men,
Barking and screaming in excitement galore-
Watching two sets of bare knuckles, swinging on the floor.
He wasted no time raising his voice above the din,
Commanding notice and attention,
Braden: “Look alive, men,
I’m here for one reason,
I’m here to challenge Spicy McLain!”
Everyone in that hanger stopped what they were doing,
And stared at Braden like he was insane.
A red-headed man stepped out of the crowd,
Wearing a kilt, with swagger in his step.
He pulled off the wife-beater he wore on top and said:
“I don’t think you’re ready yet.”
Braden shoved Spicy, and the crowd came alive.
Spicy’s cheeks turned red and Braden beamed with pride.
Spicy cracked his neck and walked over to the ring,
And Braden followed suit so they could do their thing.
