WOW44 – Joshua Slayter Vs. Isaiah Cook
World of Wrestling 44
(Joshua Slayter Vs. Isaiah Cook)
After a couple of matches on the card,
Joshua’s match began.
He came to the ring to a favorable ovation
From everyone, woman and man.
But so did his opponent Isaiah Cook
“The Chef” some called his nick-name.
He was brash and cocky but just as popular
As The Bigdog’s level of fame.
As soon as the bell began to ring,
Isaiah stuck out his hand.
Joshua shook it right away,
And Isaiah said: “Good luck, man.”
The two began to circle around,
feeling the other out.
Isaiah shot in and Joshua stuffed him,
As the crowd began to shout.
Crowd: “Let’s go Big Dog!” Some would yell,
As others chanted in turn,
Crowd: “Let’s go Chef Cook!”
Others would shout, as the wrestlers felt the burn-
Of suplexes and arm drags,
Moving faster than most could follow.
But then Isaiah hit a Northern Lights Suplex,
And it made Joshua swallow.
1!
2!!
Came the bridging pin,
But Joshua kicked out before 3.
And he was cautious in getting to his feet this time.
Isaiah was tougher than he could see.
A few moments later,
They were trading moves just like before.
Arm-wringers and wrist-locks,
Each trying to even the score.
But Joshua turned and his momentum-
Whipped Cook into the ropes.
Isaiah came back toward Joshua,
And Joshua ducked low-
Under a clothesline from Isaiah-
And grabbed him around the gut.
He lifted Isaiah back over his head,
Showing The Chef, The Bigdog was tough!
Rolling German suplexes from Joshua
Seemingly had no end.
It was sickening to see the way
Isaiah Cook’s neck did bend.
Jerry Lane Jr.: “Look at The Bigdog’s grip!
He’s latched onto his prey-
Like some kind of rabid pitbull
Taking Cook’s breath away!”
After about the fourth suplex,
Isaiah grabbed Josh’s head.
He jumped and pressed against the ropes with his feet,
And with satisfaction, spread-
Joshua’s front side across the mat
With a sickening crash.
He then ran to the ropes and hopped straight to the top,
Coming back off with a frog-splash.
But instead of going for the pin,
Isaiah pulled Joshua upright.
He hit his “Overcooked” (AKA Playmaker) finisher,
And Joshua was out like a light.
Cook went for the cover quickly,
Thinking he had the match won.
But Joshua put his foot on the bottom rope
Proving that he wasn’t done.
Isaiah never got frazzled easily,
And this time he showed his cool.
He lifted Joshua up and hit a brainbuster.
Isaiah: “Time is up for this fool!”
He tried to pin Joshua again with gusto
But Joshua kicked out in two!
And the normally chill and cool-minded Chef,
Didn’t know what else to do.
He scaled the turnbuckle once again,
To try and deliver an attack,
That would surely leave Joshua prone on the mat,
With no way of making a comeback.
He went for a 630 splash on the Bigdog,
But Joshua rolled out of the way.
Isaiah rolled through and turned around,
But Joshua made him pay.
While Isaiah was rolling through the botched dive,
Joshua got up without fear,
And he flew across the ring and right through Isaiah
With a devastating Spear!
Joshua wasted little motion,
Turning Isaiah around,
And locking in the K-9 Krunch-
As Isaiah’s mind screamed with the sound
Of popping ligaments and cracking joints,
He desperately pulled and scraped
Toward the ropes to grab on tight
And try to force a break.
Joshua dragged him back to the center,
Of the ring with force.
And Isaiah pulled and scraped again to the ropes,
But Joshua stayed the course.
Jerry Lane Jr.: “Everytime Cook gets near the ropes,
Slayter pulls him back in!”
Eventually Isaiah had to tap out.
Joshua had obtained the win.
Josh reeled and caught his breath for a moment
As Isaiah got back on his feet.
He limped over to Joshua and said
Isaiah: “Dude, that match was sweet.”
The two men shook hands yet again,
And crowd loudly did cheer,
The spectacle they had just witnessed before them,
Two amazing athletes with no fear.
