Notes of Destiny 25
(Gathering Tools)

Lolly and Fort began to gather,
All the instruments they could,
To escape their wretched prison,
And Escape back to the open world.
Lolly knew exactly where the lifeboats were,
And the shifts of all at watch.
She was telling Fort all of this,
When a young man came in named Socks.

Socks wasn’t exactly a smart pirate.
But he had a crush on Lolly.
Lolly was pretty in her own strange way,
But to Fort, Socks was pure folly.

Socks: “I have the magnet you was askin’ for.”

Lolly: “Socks, sweetie, quiet down!
If Tragic found us with his magnet,
He’d probably make us drown!
Now, you’re on watch tonight at 9,
And I’ve got one more chore for you.”

Socks turned red and bashful for a moment,
And Fort let him in on this clue-

Fort: “We have one more who’s Escaping with us.
She’s Tragic’s special guest.
Make sure she gets down here to the brig,
Before we leave this nest.”
Socks nodded and turned to leave,
But Lolly held his hand.
He looked at her through the bars,

Lolly: “You, Socks, are a great man.”

Socks turned red yet again,
And giggled as she let him go.

Lolly: “You have no idea how gross that is, Fort.
Thankfully we’re both gonna go.”

Fort: “He’s willing enough to help us,

Why do you lead him on?”

Lolly: “You can never trust the loyalty of a pirate.
No, not even that one.”
